network configuration
Listed below are the
different possible configurations for tmnet streamyx. TM Net claims no
responsibility in providing technical support for your internal network
configuration. TM Net is only responsible for ensuring the Internet connection
is working correctly up to the user's modem, for technical support for your
internal network, please refer to your vendor.

streamyx basic - single computer (dynamic IP)
tmnet streamyx basic - multiple computers
(dynamic IP)
Enterprise - single computer (1 fixed IP)
Enterprise - multiple computers with proxy (1
fixed IP)
Enterprise - multiple computers with router (1
fixed IPs)
Corporate - multiple computers (5 fixed IPs)
Corporate - multiple computers SDSL (5 fixed IP)

Connect / install NIC, DSL modem, splitter
(if necessary), microfilter (if necessary) as in the above diagram.

Load the PPPoE login software (e.g WinPoet,
Netman Pro)

Configure NIC properties

For Win XP, PPPoE connection feature is
built-in.

For MAC computers, tmnet streamyx only
support Version OS 10 and above where the PPPoE connection feature is built-in
too.

tmnet streamyx basic-
multiple computers (dynamic IP).
In order to share the tmnet streamyx basic
package, you can either use an ADSL modem/router or use Microsoft's Internet
Connection Sharing software.Below is the configuration with the ADSL
modem/router.

Enterprise - single
computer (1 fixed IP).

Connect / install DSL modem, splitter (if
necessary), microfilter (if necessary) as shown in the above diagram – TM Net
Sdn Bhd will install.

Configure login ID and relevant setting in
DSL modem – TM Net Sdn Bhd will assist.

Install NIC – customer to install.
-
Configure NIC properties and 1 X fixed IP
Address – TM Net Sdn Bhd will configure or assist customer to configure.

Enterprise - multiple
computers with proxy (1 fixed IP).

necessary), microfilter (if necessary) as shown in the above diagram – TM Net
Sdn Bhd will install.

DSL modem – TM Net Sdn Bhd will assist.

Connect main computer to hub / switch –
customer to install.

Install / configure on main computer –
customer to install: Proxy sw / NAT / DHCP, Firewall / 1 X Fixed IP (NIC 1) /
1 X Private IP (NIC 2)

Connect other computers to hub / switch via
their NIC and configure them with private IP addresses – customer to install.
